01
A prediction-market prop firm, defined
A prediction-market prop firm funds traders on event markets the way futures and equities firms fund theirs: the firm supplies the buying power, publishes the risk rules, and pays the trader a share of profits. Refract Funding is that program for Kalshi and Polymarket markets; accounts are simulated against live order books, and eligible simulated profits can qualify for real USDC payouts under the published program rules.
Futures and equities traders have had proprietary-trading firms for decades; event markets did not, so skilled forecasters were capped by their own bankroll. Refract Funding closes that gap for prediction markets. Every order, fill, balance, and funded account is simulated against the displayed live reference books, which is what lets the program fund trading on both venues in one account, with one rulebook.
Refract Funding is independent of Kalshi and Polymarket. It uses their published market data as a simulation reference and does not send user orders to either venue.

Buying a funded account does not guarantee a payout. Payouts depend on the published program rules, eligibility, identity and fair-play review, regional availability, and approval.

One account, both venues
The same funded account trades Kalshi and Polymarket markets side by side, plus simulated crypto perpetuals and multi-leg combos. For the venue-specific view, read the prop firm for Kalshi traders and the prop firm for Polymarket traders; funded accounts are covered per venue in Kalshi funded accounts and Polymarket funded accounts.
05
How to compare prediction-market prop programs
Read any program's rules as if you were already near a breach or requesting a payout: whether accounts are live or simulated, what the price purchases, how the drawdown and the withdrawable balance are calculated, which regions and identities are eligible, and what review can delay or deny a payout. The comparison framework, applied to the adjacent sports category, is in sports betting prop firms and funded sports betting accounts.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is there a prop firm for prediction markets?
Yes. Refract Funding funds prediction-market traders with instant simulated accounts on live Kalshi and Polymarket order books. There is no evaluation, and eligible simulated profit can qualify for real USDC payouts under the published program rules.
How is it different from a futures or forex prop firm?
Most prop firms run an evaluation on leveraged futures or forex. Refract Funding funds event-contract trading instead: positions are priced like probabilities, the account activates at purchase with no challenge phase, and the only account-ending trading rule is the published trailing drawdown.
Which prediction markets can I trade?
Kalshi and Polymarket markets side by side in one account: politics, economics, sports, crypto, and news events, plus simulated crypto perpetuals and multi-leg combos. Every fill is simulated; Refract Funding does not send orders to Kalshi or Polymarket.
How much does a funded account cost?
One-time funded-account prices start at $39 for $5,000 of simulated buying power; every tier's price is published before you pay. If you never buy one, the simulator and the competition stay free.
What is the profit split?
Under the current funded rules your share is calculated as 90% of eligible simulated profit, subject to the payout rules and review, and paid in USDC. Buying a funded account does not guarantee a payout; payouts depend on the program rules, eligibility, identity and fair-play review, regional availability, and approval.
Important: All trading, balances, positions, and fills on Refract Funding—including in the simulator and funded accounts—are simulated. No real money is placed at risk in a simulated trade, although funded-account prices are real payments. The price buys a program seat under published rules; it is not a deposit, investment, market stake, or trading capital. Refract Funding is independent of Kalshi and Polymarket; references to those venues do not imply endorsement.
Buying a funded account does not guarantee a payout. Payouts, where offered, depend on the program rules, eligibility, identity and fair-play review, regional availability, and approval. Market data and simulated results may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Refract Funding is not a broker, exchange, or investment adviser, and nothing on the service is investment advice. Adults 18+ only; additional age or location restrictions may apply.
